Public policy can be a very slippery fish. Since 1998 The Adams Group (TAG) has provided innovative services to government, non-profits, foundations and the private sector designed to create positive change in a complex public policy environment. Our primary issue areas are health care and public education, but we have worked on a broad range of other issues as well. TAG specializes in public policy facilitation, public engagement, strategy and the innovative use of emerging technology—such as keypad polling and an innovative website to enhance our clients' effectiveness. Project Spotlight: The Governor’s Dialogue on Health Care Vision and Values
In the fall of 2007, Colorado Governor Bill Ritter’s office enlisted TAG to design and implement a statewide dialogue with more than 400 community leaders about health care reform. Realizing that many people’s views on this issue are entrenched, the Governor sought to create a different kind of dialogue that focused on residents’ visions for health care and the values upon which they are based. This project was complimentary to the Blue Ribbon Commission on Health Care Reform, which modeled a variety of reform models. TAG designed and implemented the project—in cooperation with the Governor’s office—including writing a dialogue guide , facilitating meetings, using keypad polling and producing a final report .
